Compassionate Counsel in Child Custody Matters
Whether you are a custodial or a non-custodial parent, making difficult decisions about child custody and parenting time can be emotionally draining. You want what is in the best interests of your child and you want to maintain a meaningful role in the life, growth and development of your son or daughter. You want a lawyer who will work hard to protect everyone's interests, but you also want an attorney who understands the stress and anxiety you feel, one who will take the time to listen to all your concerns.

Our Child Custody Practice
We will work with you to establish and implement custody and parenting plans that promote the best interests of your minor children while protecting your rights as a parent. We work with custodial and non-custodial parents in a variety of lifestyle choices, including unmarried and same-sex couples.
We will take the time to carefully explain the differences between legal and physical custody and help you determine whether sole custody or joint custody is in the best interests of your child. We will make certain that you have a clear understanding of how much time you will spend with your children, what the parenting time schedule will look like, and where the child will physically reside most of the time.
We encourage our clients to find ways to work with the other parent that promote the best interests of the children. The agreements that are easiest to enforce and which provide the most benefit to all parties are, in our experience, the ones that are developed cooperatively.
We represent men and women at all stages of a custody or parenting plan matter, from the determination of temporary custody pending the final judgment of divorce through requests for modification or enforcement of existing court orders. We also handle situations that arise when one parent seeks to move away or relocate, often for a job opportunity or promotion.
